Kindness at the Heart of the Season: A Preview of the 2025 Santa Summit

The world of Christmas magic is built on more than red suits, jingle bells, and twinkling lights. At its heart lies something far deeper—kindness. And that’s exactly what this year’s WSCN Santa Summit is celebrating. Happening next Saturday, May 17th, this six-hour annual seminar brings together Claus portrayal artists and holiday performers from around the globe to share, learn, and be inspired. The theme this year—”Random Acts of Kindness”—is one that speaks to the very soul of the Santa community and the spirit we hope to carry with us throughout the year.

One of the most exciting aspects of this year’s summit is the incredible lineup of speakers. We’ll be hearing from MK Haley, a retired Disney Imagineer of nearly 30 years and now a professor at the University of Texas at Austin. Her insights into storytelling, creativity, and heart-led design are sure to leave us dreaming big and giving bigger. The stage will also welcome Brooke Jones, Vice President of The Random Acts of Kindness Foundation, who will help us connect more deeply with the impact small gestures can have on others and how to cultivate a culture of compassion.

Adding even more inspiration is Kimberly Moore, founder of the Kimberly Moore Foundation, whose work brings light into some of the darkest places in the world. Her efforts to empower communities and uplift those in need reflect the very message we as Santa ambassadors try to embody. Alongside these amazing women, Santas from around the world will take the virtual stage to share personal stories of kindness, hope, and the unforgettable moments that keep their sleigh bells ringing year-round.

As Father Christmas of the Three Mountains, I am truly excited to attend this summit. It’s always a highlight of my year—a time to reconnect with the wider Claus community, recharge my spirit, and be reminded of the magic that doesn’t just live in December but all year long. These gatherings help shape the way we serve our communities, families, and children, helping us become better storytellers, listeners, and lights in the lives of others.

In a world that often feels rushed and divided, kindness stands as a quiet but powerful act of rebellion—a statement that love, patience, and joy still matter. Whether it’s holding a door open, writing a heartfelt note, or sharing a smile with someone who needs it, these simple acts ripple outward in ways we may never fully see. As Santas, Mrs. Clauses, and Christmas performers, we carry the torch of this spirit wherever we go. But you don’t need a red suit to make magic happen.

I encourage each of you reading this—whether you’re in the Claus community or just a lover of Christmas spirit—to take a moment this week to spread kindness and cheer. Call a friend, volunteer a few hours, surprise someone with a small gift or kind word. Embrace those around you with love, and remember: every day is a chance to live out the true meaning of Christmas.
