The Story of Yulbock
This heartwarming tale of Santa’s goat, before he had reindeer is based on Scandinavian and Germanic folklore of the Yule Goat or Christmas Goat. Santa and Yulbock set off deep into the forest to gather firewood. Attacked by a bear and in fear, reindeer come to their rescue. Discovering that Yulbock is unable to help Santa deliver gifts that year to the children, Santa asks the reindeer to help him. Through the encounter Yulbock discovers that he is getting too old to continue pulling Santa’s sleigh on Christmas Eve and hopes that Santa will understand. Santa then asks the reindeer to be his faithful, loyal companions each Christmas.
